Warning That Bus Strike Having Major Impact On Businesses

An Ennis-based retail lobby group says businesses in many towns have witnessed a major slump in footfall as a direct result of the national bus strike.

The dispute, which centres on the implementation of cost-cutting measures at the company without union approval, is now in it’s seventh day.

The Minister for Transport, Shane Ross has refused to get involved, saying the row was an internal dispute that he couldn’t fix with a magic wand.
