Concern has been raised that vulnerable Clare patients could be locked out of a vital hospital service.
It’s understood that from September 7th, the Anti Coagulation (Warfarin) Clinic at University Hospital Limerick will will be reduced from 45 to 8 hours per week, only operating from 8am to 12noon on Mondays and Thursdays.

In a letter seen by Clare FM, the HSE says the change is required to continue a safe high quality service for anyone taking Warfarin.
Shannon Sinn Féin TD Donna McGettigan says it’s a seriously questionable decision.
