The HSE says a new ward extension at Raheen Community Hospital will be open and fully operational by the end of June.
The new works include seven long-stay replacement beds for residents at the Tuamgraney-based facility which are currently under construction.

Responding to a query from Clare Independent TD Michael McNamara, the HSE says HIQA will have the new beds fully registered within the next three months.
Works to relocate the existing plant and boiler house at the facility were completed last year.
