Two TDs – Clare Daly and Mick Wallace are to appear before Ennis District Court today in connection with an incident at Shannon Airport last summer.

On their last appearance Deputy Daly of Elmwood Drive, Swords, Fingal and Mr Wallace of Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin told the court they would contest the charge that they unlawfully entered a restricted zone at the airport on July 23rd last.
At the time the two – who were wearing high-visibility vests when the incident is alleged to have occurred – said they were looking to inspect American aircraft for weapons.
They have previously objected to the use of Shannon by the US military.
