Walker Rescued From Tipperary Hill After Falling Ill

Emergency services, including the Killaloe Goast Guard Unit, have rescued a walker who collapsed while walking on a hill in Co. Tipperary.

The unit were tasked to the scene after 9 o’clock last night, along with Gardaí and an ambulance from Scariff.

Due to the very low cloud cover at the time, it was not possible to for a Rescue helicopter to respond to the incident and the casualty was helped by members of the public before the rescue personnel arrived.

They were helped down from the hill, and are now said to be safe and well.
