Voting Underway In UK General Election

Voting is well underway in the UK’s General Election just 5 days after a terrorist attack killed 8 people in London.

The sitting Prime Minister had hoped to romp home to victory – however the latest polls are showing the race tightening between the Tories and Labour.

Polls remain inconsistent on the final outcome of the U.K.’s very eventful and long snap election, but the majority report that the Tory party is likely to be returned to government. What’s not clear is by how many seats.

Theresa May’s refusal to show up to debate, her manifesto backtrack and the very serious security concerns emanating from 2 terrorist attacks question the assumption that the conservatives would sail back in to power with up to a 100-seat majority.

Meanwhile Jeremy Corbyn appears to have been given a boost in spite of his own party’s fractiousness.

Polls close at 10pm tonight for the 650 Westminster seats.
