Tonight will see the celebration of the people who Clare’s local communities are ‘resting on the shoulders of’.
Treacy’s West County Hotel is the venue for tonight’s Volunteer Recognition Event held in conjunction with International Volunteer Day, with the ceremony getting underway at 7pm.

Clare Volunteer Centre works with over 2,700 individuals across 386 various organisations and the event hopes to celebrate the tireless work they have done across Clare.
Sharon Meaney from Clare Volunteer Centre says the people who work for the organisation form the backbone for every community in the county.
