The vital work of the Samaritans in providing around-the-clock support to people in crisis will be in the spotlight this week.
Samaritans Awareness Day, which aims to reduce the stigma around mental health and encourage conversations about wellbeing, takes place tomorrow (Friday, July 24th).

To mark the occasion, volunteers and supporters are taking on the 24-Hour Challenge at its Ennis branch, to raise awareness and funds, with activities ranging from fitness challenges to creative projects.
Among those taking part is Ennis volunteer Marie Gordon, who has been telling Clare FM’s Morning Focus that Samaritans is a vital service for people who feel isolated or alone.
