Visitor numbers to one of West Clare's main tourism attractions are up 5% this year.

Just under 9,500 people have visited Loop Head Lighthouse in the first four months of the tourist season, a third of those in June alone.
The figure for the timeframe of April to June has grown by over 300 when compared with the same time last year.
39% of the visitors are Irish, with Germans the most frequent overseas visitors to the site.
It's also a hit with the kids, with children representing 22% of all visitors.
