Strict visiting restrictions are in place at University Hospital Limerick following an outbreak of influenza.
There were nine confirmed cases of seasonal influenza in the hospital yesterday, with an additional one confirmed case of winter vomitting bug.
Only those visiting critically unwell patients and parents visiting sick children are allowed to visit the hospital with anyone under the age of 16, those with flu symptoms asked to stay away from the hospital.
UL Hospitals Group says all infection control measures are in place and every effort is being made to manage and contain the spread of the virus.
