Visiting restrictions are in place at Ennis Hospital following an outbreak of a vomiting bug.
The UL Hospitals Group is advising people that the Burren Ward will be closed to visitors until further notice, though other parts of the hospital, including the injury unit, are operating as normal.
An outbreak of norovirus, a highly contagious vomiting bug, has been detected there.
