A woman who was spat at and racially abused by teens in Ennis says she’ll forever be ‘haunted’ by the incident.
A Clare FM Morning Focus listener, who has chosen to remain anonymous, was subject to the attack on Friday evening at 7.30pm on her walk home.
After passing a group of between 6 and 7 young teens, the woman was followed and verbally abused with racial slurs before one of the youths spat on the back of her hair and jacket.
The woman had moved to Ireland four years ago from Georgia and says she now watches over her shoulder when walking home.
