It’s hoped that 21 year old Dubliner Ibrahim Halawa could return to Ireland within weeks.
A verdict is due today in his mass trial in Egypt, where he’s been imprisoned since 2013.
The Taoiseach said on Saturday that he plans to phone President el- Sisi today to ask for his return.
