Varadkar Warns Shareholders Could Scupper Aer Lingus Deal

The Transport Minister has warned that any deal to end the pensions dispute at Aer Lingus could be blocked by the airline's shareholders.

Workers at Aer Lingus and the D-A-A are still in talks with employers about a deficit of over 700 million euro in their pension fund.

Leo Varadkar says any possible deal is likely to see both employers putting more money into the fund to bridge the gap.
