The Health Minister is being asked to demand a report on ambulance cover in Clare in light of recent incidents here.
Both occurred on June 30th last, including one, already publicized, in which a patient died after the ambulance transporting him to hospital broke down en route.
Another incident has also come to light in which the National Ambulance Service requested the help of local fire service to deal with what's reported to have been a cardiac arrest in which a patient passed away.
This saw fire personnel travel from Ennistymon to Lahinch – the National Ambulance Service has confirmed details of the incident, and say two ambulances were also sent to the scene.
Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway has raised the incidents in the Seanad.
