In the US, republicans are in the midst of their four-day convention which last night anointed Donald Trump as the party's nominee for president.
The last few days have been fraught with controversy over a speech made by Mr Trump's wife, Melanie Trump, where in parts she copied the words spoken by Michelle Obama.
The convention has so far involved inputs by speaker of the house of representatives Paul Ryan as well as Tiffany and Melanie Trump; daughter and wife respectively of Donald Trump.
Criticism that Melania's speech was in part taken from one given by Michelle Obama in 2008, has been cast aside by the party as a whole.
Instead harsh words have been leveled at Hillary Clinton, the democratic nominee for the race which included a critique of her time as secretary of state, which came from Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie.
