US Irish Ambassador confident of future multinational investment in the MidWest

The acting US Ambassador to Ireland says the Mid West remains a very attractive prospect for potential overseas investment despite the economic downturn.

Robert Faucher is in region this week to meet with US companies in Clare and Limerick and look at the progress of pre-clearance facilities at Shannon Airport.

Robert Faucher is in region this week to meet with US companies in Clare and Limerick and look at the progress of pre-clearance facilities at Shannon Airport.

It’s due to be up and running by July and should strengthen the airports routes and give it a huge competitive edge over its European counterparts.

Robert Faucher accepts that challenges lie ahead due to the global economic downturn but is confident the Mid West can continue to attract new investment.
