An urgent appeal is being made for volunteers in West Clare to support Special Olympics Ireland’s National Collection Day.
Kilrush has been designated as an individual collection point for the first time this year, with Ennis having been the central focus for a number of years.

There are 150 collection points across Ireland, with funds raised supporting 400 clubs nationwide.
Twenty volunteers are being sought for the Kilrush collection on Friday, September 18th and Team Leader for Kilrush and West Clare, Eugene Falconer, is encouraging people in the local community to volunteer a few hours of their time.
