An urgent appeal had been made for blood donations in Clare.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says blood stock for certain blood types have reached concerning levels.

It says hospital demand for blood continues to rise month on month, with 3,000 blood donations needed each week just to keep-pace.
A blood donation clinic is taking place at the Oakwood Arms Hotel today and tomorrow from 4pm to 7:20pm.
Broadford-based IBTS Donor Recruitment Executive, Alex O’Connor is appealing to people in Clare to do what they can to help save lives.
