The Minister for Housing has approved site locations for over 450 new social housing units, worth €100 million nationally.

Simon Coveney has confirmed that between 50 and 60 of those are to be delivered in Shannon East, through public private partnership.

There's 3,100 people on the social housing list in Clare, over 640 of those in the Shannon Municipal District.
