Unprecedented Accommodation Shortages Driving Clare Homeless Surge Says Midwest Simon

Mid West Simon claims unprecedented emergency accommodation shortages are driving a surge in homelessness in this county.

Clare’s Homeless Action Team experienced 480 presentations in November which is up 94% on the figure for the same month last year.

Of these, 428 were repeat engagements which is higher than the combined total for new and repeat engagements in any other month of 2023.
