Figures released by the CSO show that the number has fallen by 630 in the last month, meaning just under 9,000 people here are now claiming some form of unemployment benefit.
All four Social Welfare Office’s across Clare have recorded a fall, with the largest drop in Ennis, and the figure for the end of September is 700 less than at the same point last year.
