Unemployment Figures May Not Fully Represent Situation Says Economist

Ireland’s unemployment statistics may not fully represent the situation on the ground.

A Central Bank report has highlighted the number of underemployed people, who are in work but want to work more hours.

The government has trumpted the falling rate of unemployment as proof of the economic recovery, and while more people are working the report has highlighted scope for further growth before it begins to overheat.
