The UL Hospitals Group says care is being restored on a phased basis as systems recover from last month’s cyber attack.
In a statement, the Group has said this evening that outpatient appointments, day case and inpatient surgeries at its sites, including University Hospital Limerick and Ennis General Hospital are being restored gradually.
Over 10,000 outpatient appointments, operations and investigations were cancelled across the six hospitals in the first three weeks following the cyber attack.
The group says its emergency department in Dooradoyle remains extremely busy, and is reiterating that all patients whose procedures are going ahead will be contacted directly by hospitals in advance.
