The UL Hospitals Group recorded the highest number of cases of the CPE Superbug in the country this year.
A new report from the National Public Health Emergency Team shows 401 patients were found to have the bug between January and November, a rise of 119 on the same time last year.

50 of those were in the UL Hospitals Group, the highest number, followed closely by the Saolta Hosptital Group with 48 cases.
The Irish Independent reports that the Team has plans in place for increased screening in 2018 to reduce the risk to patients.
