CSO figures released today show 2,451 Personal Public Service Numbers have been issued under the Temporary Protection Directive to individuals in Clare who’ve fled Ukraine.

This represents, a rise of 163 in the space of a fortnight.

1,165 of those are based in North Clare, which means the Ennistymon Electoral Areas has the highest rate of Ukrainian refugees per 100 people in the country, based on Census 2016 figures.

As of June 7th, there were 349 school children enrolled in primary schools in the banner county, with a further 166 in secondary school.
