Uisce Éireann insists that active boil water notices in East Clare won’t be in place for the foreseeable future.
A notice first issued for the O’Briensbridge supply on August 25th has now entered its fourth week following a disinfection problem at the plant.
Separately, a boil water notice was implemented in Killaloe on Sunday, for a supply of over 1,700 consumers, following a chlorination issue.
Usice Eireann Drinking Water Assets lead for Clare , Darragh Conneely has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that while the utility is striving to lift the notices as soon as possible, public health remains the top priority.
