UHL Suffers Highest Level Of Overcrowding In Ireland Again

Nurses say the region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country today.

33 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, according to the INMO’s latest trolleywatch figures, 18 of those in the new Emergency Department.

A further 15 patients are being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

It comes on a day when 324 people are waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
