Nurses say the emergency department at at the region’s main hospital is the most overcrowded in the Country today.
The latest figures from the INMO show 28 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 15 of those in the emergency department.
Meanwhile 17 are waiting to be admitted in Cork University Hospital, and just three in Galway.
