UHL Management ‘Continuing To Engage’ With Porters Following Work Stoppage

The UL Hospitals group says it doesn’t expect any further work stoppages at this time by hospital porters at University Hospital Limerick.

A demonstration was held on Monday by over 50 support staff, with reports stating that the closure of a communal room and a “failure by management to engage on industrial relations issues” cited as the reasons behind this.

The hospitals group insists they have made progress with the porters’ union SIPTU, and that it remains open to continue discussions.
