Uisce Éireann has announced a two-week closure on a section of the N85 road in Ennistymon as part of a leak reduction project.
Improvement works will commence in the coming days and take place until Friday, February 23rd along the Circular Road, and on the N85 (New Road), from Linnane’s Funeral Home to Alfie’s Cafe .
Crews from Ward & Burke will be working to replace 900 metres of aged cast iron water mains with new modern pipes and laying new service connections with works taking place until April.

Local and emergency traffic will be maintained for the duration of the works, although the utility is warning the public of short-term disruptions to both traffic flow and the public water supply.
