A Garda investigation is underway after two men were shot dead and another two injured in Co Kildare.
It happened in a house in Kilcock last night.
At around twenty past ten last night, a number of gunmen forced their way into a house on Rochford Avenue in Kilcock armed with a shotgun and and a handgun.
They opened fire on the four men inside – two from Ireland and two Foreign Nationals.
A man in his 30 and another in his late teens were rushed to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and were pronounced dead at around midnight.
The other two men – aged in their 20s and 30s – were taken to the Mater and Tallaght Hospitals in Dublin where they re being treated for their injuries.
The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination – including a second house to the rear of the crime scene.
The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified – and Gardaí are following a number of lines of inquiry
