Two Ennis Women Triumph At The Volunteer Ireland Awards.

Two Ennis women have been honoured for their selfless dedication to others.

Mary Fitzgerald, the founder of Clare Haven Services, was named as the Christine Buckley Volunteer of the year at last night’s Volunteer Ireland Awards.

Mary previously took in families who were fleeing from domestic violence to prevent them from needing to sleep in a Garda Station, before founding Clare Haven Services in 1993.
