Two people have died in seperate road accidents in Counties Sligo and Cork.
A woman in her seventies has died after a crash in Glengariff, Co. Cork yesterday evening.
The elderly woman was the only occupant of a car that collided with a van at Dromgariff in the West Cork area at about 7.30pm.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
Meanwhile, a man in his 20s has died following a motorbike accident in Ballygawley, Co. Sligo last night.
The crash happened at around twenty past eight, when the motorbike he was driving hit a ditch at Doonmarray, on the Ballygawley to Ballintogher Rd – the R290.
The 26-year-old was taken to Sligo General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
