Two Clare Men Among Latest Tax Defaulters

Two Clare men have made been listed by Revenue on its latest list of tax defaulters.

Farmer and contractor Raymond O’Grady from Crusheen made a settlemnet of just over 85,000 euro, including 15,000 euro in penalties, after a Revenue Audit found that he had not properly declared Capital Gains Tax.

While fibre-optic service engineer John Flynn of Ballyalla Lake, Ennis made a settlement of 73,600 euro, including nearly 10,700 euro in penaltes, after he was found to have under-declared income tax and VAT.

Both are included on the latest list from Revenue which found it had recouped 115 million euro in taxes, interest and penalties in the first three months of the year.
