Two Clare Businessmen On Tax Defaulters List

Two Clare businessmen have been named on the latest list of tax defaulters, which has been published by Revenue.

Haulage and Forestry Services Provider Enda Hall of Clonloum, O’Callaghans Mills has paid a settlement of over 43 thousand euro, including eight-and-a-half thousand in penalties, after Revenue found he had underdeclared VAT and Income Tax.

Separately, Gabriel Vaughan of Poulawillin, Miltown Malbay, who is described as a DVD/Video Rental Service Provider, has made a settlement of nearly 39,000 euro, including 6,400 euro in penalties, following the non-declaration of VAT.

Both are among the 86 cases highlighted by Revenue in respect of the first three months of the year, during which time a total of 14.4 million was collected in settlements.
