A Clare Independent TD is optimistic that a proposed NCT centre for Shannon will be developed in the near future.
Last month, the National Car Testing Service (NCTS) confirmed that development of a centre at the Smithstown Inudstiral Estate was halted ‘due to significant contractual difficulties’.

Independent TD from Scariff Michael McNamara, has now received word that two alternative locations in Shannon have been identified.
Deputy McNamara hopes looking at multiple options will ensure a swifter progression of the project.
