Three people including a child have been hospitalised following a collision between a bus and a car on the motorway in Clare.
The collision occurred at around 8 o’clock last night in the southbound lanes of the M18 motorway between Clarecastle and Dromoland.
It’s understood that a car travelling towards Limerick tried to avoid a tyre lying in the middle of the carriageway and was struck from behind by the bus.

Two adults and a child, who had been travelling in the car, were hospitalised with what’s described as ‘varying degrees of injury’.
There were 33 passengers on board the bus at the time of the crash – they were examined by paramedics at the scene and found to be uninjured.
They remained on the bus until a replacement vehicle was brought to scene to taken them to their destination and the route was fully reopened at around 10.30 last night.
