Twelve Clare Beaches Retain Blue Flag And Green Coast Status

Twelve beaches around Clare have retained their prestigious Blue Flag and Green Coast status for the upcoming tourist season.

Whitestrand, Miltown Malbay, Ballycuggeran, Whitestrand Doonbeg, Mountshannon, Cappagh, Fanore, Spanish Point, Kilkee and Lahinch have all been awarded the Blue Flag once again at a ceremony in Bray.

While the Green Coast Award has been bestowed on Bishops Quarter, Seafield and Ballyalla Lake.
