Tusla Faces Three Separate Investigations Over Whistleblower Controversy

It’s been revealed the child and family agency is facing three separate investigations in the wake of the Garda whistleblower controversy.

The TUSLA boss was unable to answer specific questions at an Oireachtas committee today after revealing it was contacted by the Charleton Tribunal yesterday.

But Fred McBride did go on to say he had no evidence of malice of intent by any member of staff at the agency.

Children’s Minister Katherine Zappone has also ordered a HIQA review of TUSLA.

And CEO Fred MCBride says they’ll also be engaging with a probe by the Data Protection Commissioner.
