The Turkish President says he will approve the return of the death penalty.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed a rally of more than 1 million people after last months failed coup in the country.
Since the coup bid, Turkish authorities have suspended, detained or placed under investigation tens of thousands of people, including soldiers, police, judges, journalists, medics and civil servants.
In an interview afterwards the President said if Parliament votes to bring back capital punishment, he will back it.
