Turkeys President Declares 3-Month State Of Emergency

Turkey's president has declared a three-month state of emergency following last week's attempted military coup.

He insists the fight against his opponents isn't over and there are more arrests to come.

Almost 60-thousand people have now been detained, sacked, or suspended from their jobs.

It's believed 265 people died in the violence last weekend. 

Istanbul base Journalist Andrew Finkel says the measure gives the government wide ranging power.
