Water supplies are slowly being restored to Tulla and the surrounding areas this morning after the system was shut-down for a second night in a row.
Clare County Council took the action as part of efforts to replenish levels in the local reservoir which have fallen in recent weeks while its also installing pumps to boost water pressure to the East Clare area.
Staff are urging people are asked not to leave taps open this morning in anticipation of supply being restored, warning it could delay the process further.
With temperatures set to rise over the weekend Executive Engineer Hugh McGrath is also asking people across the county to conserve water.
