Tubber Employer Criticises State Response To Storm Éowyn

A major Clare employer is criticising the Government’s response to Storm Éowyn and claims the north of the county hasn’t received the attention it deserves.

The ESB estimates the number of premises in Clare which remain without power this morning to be 3,900 while 2,500 homes and businesses are yet to have their water supply restored according to Uisce Éireann.

One of the worst affected areas in the county is Tubber where many have been told that their electricity will return by the beginning of next week.

Suzanne O’Connor of Conor Engineering Limited in Tubber says there’s a lack of joined-up thinking in the Government’s approach to the storm fallout.
