Trump International Claims Coastal Defence Works In Doonbeg ‘Still On The Agenda’

The General Manager of the Trump International Hotel and Golf Links claims coastal protection works at the facility are ‘still on the agenda’.

It’s after the controversial project at Doughmore Beach was denied planning permission by An Bord Pleanala last year, having previously been given the green light by Clare County Council.

The Bord said at the time of the decision that it wasn’t satisfied that that the proposed development would not result in adverse effects on on the physical structure, functionality, and sediment supply of dune habitat within the Carrowmore Dunes Special Area of Conservation.
