Trolley Numbers At UHL On The Rise Again

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is climbing once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show 53 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 29 of those in the Emergency Department.

The figure is the highest in the country and is 18 more than the next busiest facility.

It comes as the Health Minister has pledged to bring a bed capacity review to Government by the end of the month, while Minister Simon Harris has also said he will outline a date for GP talks in the next fortnight.
