Trolley Numbers At UHL Double That Of Any Other Hospital Today

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is more than double that of any other facility in the country today.

The latest INMO figures show 51 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 43 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 27 more than the next busiest facility and represents almost a quarter of all patients left waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country.
