Trolley Numbers At UHL Continue To Dip

Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital are continuing to dip.

But the latest figures from the INMO show University Hospital Limerick continues to be one of the most overcrowded in the country.

There were 38 patients waiting for beds there this morning, 23 of those in the Emergency Department.

It comes on a day when 506 patients were waiting to be admitted at hospitals across the country, a figure that’s expected to rise as the flu season peaks over the coming fortnight.
