Trolley numbers at the region’s main hospital have climbed close to 100 once again today.
According to the INMO, 99 admitted patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 53 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is the highest in the country, with Cork University Hospital following closely behind, where 90 patients were waiting on trollies earlier.
It comes on a day when there were 635 patients waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
