The number of people on a trolley at the region’s main hospital has climbed above 100 for the first time in over two weeks.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that 107 admitted patients were without a bed at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds today.

It’s the first time trolley numbers at UHL have gone over 100 since October 24th, when 108 were waiting for a bed.

This was just one day after a record number of 130 admitted patients were recorded on trolleys at the Dooradoyle facility by the INMO.
